Recall of Dick’s Sporting Goods’ Pull-Up Assist Equipment due to Injury Risk

On May 23, 2019, Dick’s Sporting Goods issued a recall (recall number 19-127) that affected approximately 10,000 units. The Ethos Pull-Up Assist product was recalled due to a laceration hazard. Specifically, the plastic clip on the nylon band attached to the resistance band with a carabiner can suddenly break, posing a significant risk of injury. The recall states that all customers that return the product with a receipt will receive a full refund; any customers returning the product without a receipt will receive store credit.
