ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Downtown LA Law Group LLP, a CA based law firm is seeking to hire a full-time Associate Attorney in Los Angeles. Eligible candidates must have a Min of Master of Laws or JD, or U.S. foreign equivalent. Must be admitted to the State bar of California. The Associate will conduct litigation, file motions, present oral arguments and make an appearance in the Court on behalf of most clients for case management. Conduct Mandatory Settlement Conference, Trial Setting Conference, and order to show cause final status conference. Will conduct research and prepare briefs & offers based on California Civil Code. Will report to Managing Attorney and maintain client files and work on firm defined case management database. Full-time 40 hours per week, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Position Overview:
As an Associate Attorney, you will play a critical role in representing clients and managing cases through every phase of litigation. This full-time position demands excellence, initiative, and a deep understanding of California civil procedure.
Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in court, including filing motions, presenting oral arguments, and attending case management conferences

Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs, motions, and settlement proposals in accordance with California Civil Code

Maintain organized client files and update firm’s case management database

Collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney and assist senior partners in providing legal advisement and trial preparation

Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and settlement agreements

Participate in depositions, mediations, and discovery processes

Stay up-to-date on personal injury and accident law to ensure accurate legal representation
Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M), or U.S. foreign equivalent

Active license to practice law in the State of California

Proficiency in legal analysis and writing, including reports and motions

Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience in personal injury or accident law is preferred

PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION ATTORNEY
Impact:
As our PI Litigation Attorney, you will have the opportunity to fight for our clients and win the largest wrongful death, TBU, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic settlements and verdicts achievable.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage plaintiff’s personal injury practice.
- Develop litigation strategies including discovery, deposition, arbitration, and jury trial.
- Draft internal memos, subpoenas and various discovery documents.
- Direct and determine all aspects of plaintiff litigation and resolution strategy.
- Respond to investigative subpoenas from U.S. government regulatory agencies requesting production of relevant client and third party material.
- Evaluate and analyze employee’s civil complaints and relate investigation documents to prepare litigation and discovery strategy in anticipation of trial.
- Research and communicate current and potential changes and issues with Medicare and Medicaid regulations to company departments.
- Perform research on client-specific questions regarding Medicare regulations, guidance and process.
