Lonny Haschel a Texas State Trooper from the Texas Department of Public Safety stated the bus was carrying around 30 passengers when it slid off the highway in Irving, a Texas town just east of the Dallas Fort-Worth metropolis. Trooper Kyle Bradford told CBS affiliate KTVT, “There was one individual that was pinned in” the bus but has since been rescued by local emergency responders. The Chartered tour bus is owned by Cardinal Coach Lines a Texas company headquartered in Mansfield. According to investigators at the scene of the bus accident the vehicle was carrying passengers to the Choctow casino in Oklahoma about 100 miles from the accident location.
