Pacific Palisades Motorcyclist Dies after Accident with Big Blue Bus

A Pacific Palisades motorcyclist died Tuesday morning after colliding with a Santa Monica Big Blue Bus on the 16900 block of West Sunset Boulevard.  The motorcycle crash occurred at approximately 10:33 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20.  According to representatives with the Big Blue Bus, the motorcyclist crashed into the bus as the bus was making a left turn onto Sunset Boulevard, near Marquez Avenue.  The bus was completely empty at the time of the incident, and the bus driver reported no injuries. Los Angeles fire and emergency medical teams were rushed to the scene, but according to LAFD, the unidentified driver was dead at arrival.   He was discovered stuck underneath the bus when they arrived. The bus was scheduled to pick students at nearby Palisades Charter High School.  Police officials immediately closed off Sunset Boulevard between Palisades Drive and Salerno Drive.
