Woom ORIGINAL Kids’ Bicycles Recall Class Action Lawsuit
A recall was issued on approximately 84,000 children’s bicycles by woom. The woom ORIGINAL Kids’ Bicycles may have a faulty handlebar stem that can loosen or detach. This puts the rider at risk of falling off and sustaining injuries while the bike it in use. So far, the company has received 77 reports of children falling off the bikes due to the handlebar stems coming off the bike.
The recall is for woom ORIGINAL model bikes that were manufactured between 2018 and 2021. They were designed for children 18 months to 14 years old and were sold in the following versions: woom 1, woom 1 Plus, woom 2, woom 3, woom 4, woom 5 and woom 6. The bikes were available for sale through amazon.com, woom.com, and bike stores nationwide during September 2018 through March 2022.
