Sundance Spas Hot Tub Recall Class Action Lawsuit
Sundance Spas issued a recall for around 23,700 Jacuzzis and hot tubs due to a defective temperature sensor that can indicate the wrong water temperature. So far, the company has received 185 reports of incorrect temperatures, which can cause the user to be burned or suffer from heatstroke. Models that are being recalled include: Sundance Spas from the 680, 780, 880 and 980 series and Jacuzzi tubs from the J-200, J-300, J-400 and J-500 collection.
The manufacturer has asked consumers to use a thermometer to ensure that the water temperature is no higher than 104 degrees F. If the sensor is indicating the wrong temperature, they should contact Sundance Spas to schedule a free repair service.
