Metro Micro is Metro’s new service – an on-demand rideshare service offering Metro customers trips within several zones in the county. It is designed for short trips within these zones, eliminating the need to transfer multiple times. Metro Micro uses smaller vehicles (seating up to 10 Metro customers) than the buses that we are used to. Metro customers can book rides via the mobile app, online, or the phone. Metro Micro was launched in Watts/Willowbrook and LAX/Inglewood in December 2020. In January 2021, Metro will be launching the Micro service in North Hollywood/Burbank, Compton/Artesia, and El Monte. In Summer 2021, the service will be launched in the Northwest San Fernando Valley, Highland Park/Eagle Rock/Glendale, and Altadena/Pasadena/Sierra Madre zones. In Fall 2021, the service will become available in UCLA/Westwood/Century City. This covers a total of nine zones throughout Los Angeles County.
There is no doubt that this new rideshare service will be convenient for many Metro customers. However, like with all other rideshare services, there is always a risk of accidents – and severe injuries to customers. If you were injured in a Metro Micro accident, you might have grounds to file a lawsuit. You should seek legal assistance as soon as possible to learn more about your legal options.
