Los Angeles OBGYN Accused of Offering to Pay Patient for Sex – OBGYN Sex Abuse Lawyers
The Medical Board of California accused Dr. Arjang Naim of offering to pay a patient for sex and be her “sugar daddy.” These unwelcome sexual advances reportedly occurred in 2021. According to the medical board, Niam told the patient that she was beautiful and asked her why she was single. He later told her that he could have sex with her although she had a positive human papillomavirus test result. At the end of the appointment, the doctor asked the patient to coffee. The patient initially refused but agreed after he insisted. The doctor drove the patient to a coffee shop in his car. He reportedly started to make “inappropriate comments” that were making the patient upset, including offering to be her “sugar daddy” and to pay her for sex. The doctor allegedly groped her breast and tried to kiss her, resulting in the woman pushing him away. In addition, the state agency alleges that during procedures like pelvic exams, the doctor failed to have a chaperone present or give the patient a chance to request a chaperone.
This is not the first time Doctor Arjang Naim has faced accusations from the medical board. In fact, he has been on probation with the medical board multiple times. Most recently, Naim went on probation after the death of a patient after a cesarean section; this probation was completed two years ago.
Six years ago, Niam was also on probation for negligence in his care of multiple patients, one of which died.
