In the afternoon of last Sunday, a man was hit against his vehicle while buckling his child to the back seat, in the parking lot of a grocery store, in San Diego.
The event occurred around 3:00 p.m., in the parking lot of a grocery store on University Avenue.
The driver who hit Hoang Lam fled, leaving him seriously injured with his child still in the back seat (a 6-year-old boy who fortunately was not harmed).
The authorities narrate the event as that the fugitive driver was crossing the parking lot. Then, for unknown reasons, he headed left, crashing into the man and his vehicle. The impact caused the victim’s car to collide with another vehicle in the parking lot.
The incident caused serious injuries, including a pelvic fracture. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. According to his GoFundMe page, he has had several surgeries and still has more to go.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to help find the assailant to contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 or contact them online at their webpage, sdcrimestoppers.org.
