According to the Los Angeles Times a Pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in the Southern California Community of Vernon Friday afternoon. The City of Vernon is the smallest incorporated city in the United States Census with a population of only 112 persons consisting of mostly industrial structures including warehouses and factories producing a wide range of goods from food processing to apparel and metallurgy.
