According to the Los Angeles Times a Pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in the Southern California Community of Vernon Friday afternoon.   The City of Vernon is the smallest incorporated city in the United States Census with a population of only 112 persons consisting of mostly industrial structures including warehouses and factories producing a wide range of goods from food processing to apparel and metallurgy. According to the Los Angeles Times the victim was struck by a “ southbound Metro Blue Line train about 5 p.m. Friday in Vernon, causing delays of several hours to riders.”  The accident took place near Vernon Station at 4421 South Long Beach Ave. Filing a Wrongful Death Lawsuit:  If a death is the result of the negligent or intentionally wrongful acts of another person, (including business, train operators, individuals) then certain family members may have a right to file a wrongful death cause of action.
