Full Speed Ahead Gossamer Pro AGX+ Cranksets Recall Class Action Lawsuit
On April 18, 2024, Full Speed Ahead issued a recall for their Gossamer Pro AGX+ Cranksets. According to the recall, number 24-203, the crank arms can loosen and/or detach from the crank/spindle; this poses a fall and injury risk to consumers. The recall affects approximately 12,300 units.
The recall specifically includes the model CK-6037 of the Full Seed Ahead Gossamer Pro AGX+ bicycle cranksets. These were sold separately as well as included with bicycles (the bicycles included the Cannondale, Canyon, Marin, Fuji, Haro, and Pinarello gravel brands). The crankarm has “FSA Gossamer Pro” etched on the front. The model and serial number can be found located on the back of the crankarm. The recall only includes products beginning with B1, B2, or B3.
The defective product was available at independent bicycle stores nationwide and online via the bicycle brands mentioned above. They were available from January 2022 through June 2023 for $190 for just the crankarm and $1,700 to $4,000 for bicycles.
So far, the company has received at least 277 reports of the bicycle crankarms loosening or detaching; however, the company claims that no injuries have been reported.
The company is urging all affected consumers to stop using the bicycles with the affected crankset and contact them for instructions on receiving free dealer installation of a replacement crankset.
