The injuries to both mother and child have been described as non light threatening. Felony DUI: The Driver was arrested at the scene of the accident. Information on any formal charges has yet to be released to the media. However it is suspected that the District Attorney will charge the suspect with Felony DUI.   • DUI resulting in Death: Refereed to in the State of California as Vehicular Manslaughter If alcohol was involved a driver can be charged with vehicular manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, or second-degree murder.  This requires that the person be charged with an underlying, misdemeanor or felony.
