Woom Bicycles Recall Class Action Lawsuit
On November 14, 2024, Stokke issued a recall for their YOYO3 Strollers. According to the recall, number 25-044, the parking brake on the affected strollers can disengage, which poses an injury risk. The recall affects approximately 2,890 units of the product.
The affected strollers have serial numbers starting with 142AA, followed by numbers below 0062239 (the serial number can be found on a label under the stroller seat). They are compact four-wheel foldable strollers that are meant to be used with children from the ages of 0-48 months. The stroller frame comes in black or black and white. The stroller seat and canopy come in multiple colors, including black, Bonpoint beige, stone, olive, toffee, taupe, ginger, Air France blue, or aqua. The wheels have a white, reflective center.
So far, no incidents or injuries have been reported, although it is possible that there have been unreported incidents. The company is urging affected consumers to immediately stop using the strollers and register their product online to receive a full refund via check.
The recalled strollers were available both in-store and online at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Crate and Barrel, Albee Baby, Macro Baby, stokke.com, Amazon.com, and Babylist.com. The strollers were sold for about $450 each from September 2024 through October 2024.

Although no injuries have been reported, injuries are very likely. When the brake on the strollers suddenly disengage, the strollers can roll away; these strollers could potentially roll into busy streets, down stairs, crash into walls/objects, and more. All of this could result in the child in the stroller being seriously hurt. Potential injuries could include head injuries (including traumatic brain injuries and concussions), neck injuries, back injuries, spinal cord injuries, fractures, dislocations, sprains/strains, scrapes and bruises, dislocations, crushing injuries, and more. These injuries could be devastating to a small child. They could potentially lead to permanent disability or even death.
What to do if Your Child was Harmed by a Defective StrollerYou might be wondering what steps to take after your child was harmed by a defective product. Consider some of the following recommendations:
- Take photos of all visible injuries
- Take photos of the scene of the accident
- Take photos of all the damage visible on the defective product
- Seek medical care as soon as possible
- Leave the defective stroller as-is (do not try to repair it)
- Speak to witnesses and collect their contact information
- If available, gather surveillance footage
- Gather all relevant medical records
- Gather records of lost pay due to the incident
- Gather receipts associated with the purchase of the defective product
- Seek the guidance of a recall lawyer as soon as possible
Of course, you could have the right to file a lawsuit under product liability law. Although you could pursue your claim independently, you could also participate in a class action claim or mass torts claim. How can I join or be a part of a class action lawsuit on this case? In general, joining a class action can be as simple as reaching out to a class action lawyer who can ensure that your claim is part of the class. However, since no incidents or injuries have been reported so far, there may not already be a class action. Can I file a class action lawsuit? Yes – your claim could be the first to start the class.
