What We Know:

At 9:01 p.m., officers responded to a traffic collision with injuries on 11th Street and Redondo Avenue involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. When officers arrived, personnel with the Long Beach Fire Department were providing medical aid to the motorcyclist. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist died on the scene.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 2010 KTM motorcycle was traveling southbound on Redondo Avenue when it collided with a 2006 Toyota Sequoia traveling eastbound on 11th Street. Reportedly, the vehicle failed to yield to the motorcycle at a 2-way stop. The driver of the Sequoia remained on the scene of the incident and was cooperative. He was arrested and booked for driving under the influence and for vehicular manslaughter. His bail was set at over $100,000. He was identified as 33-year-old Frank Andrade Jr. of Long Beach.

The victim was identified as 37-year-old Roberto Barraza, of Long Beach.
