I am inquiring for a friend. She was on meformin. She was admitted to the hospital for renal failure. She was lucky this time and they were able to fllush her kidneys out and she did not have to undergo diaylsis. They thought it was due too pain medication. They never mentioned anything about metformin. Same treatment as 1st time and again released. When this occurred a 3rd time, they took her off metformin and she was sent home w/o any explanation of perhaps it was the medication, metformin. I thought I had read somewhere about a class lawsuit having to do with renal failure and metformin. I would like to know if there is some kind of class action or if she has a case concerning metformin. I told her I would check out the net and see what I could find. She is not computer savy.
