I recently had to have a ivc filter surgically removed due to fracture, perforation of the vena cava, and migration of pieces to the upper right lung. It was implanted in 2006, the removal was 09-07-2013. What are my options?

i had an ivc filter placed in my inner thigh area after a really bad car accident in 2008 and since its been placed it has traveled upwards. i know this because of x rays i have had since then but im not sure how much more it has traveled and would like to be part of the claim.
