Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Sun Valley | 03/19/2021
A man whose name has not been released pending notification of the family was struck while walking through the crosswalk at the intersection of Lankershim Boulevard and Stagg Street.
This accident occurred in the Sun Valley neighborhood in Los Angeles, at night, at approximately 7:00 pm, when the man was run over and the culprit fled the scene traveling north on Lankershim Boulevard, without even stopping.
The pedestrian, only recognized as a man, was fatally run over, declared dead at said crosswalk.
The driver’s vehicle was identified as a silver or white BMW sedan from years 2010 to 2012. The driver continues to be wanted by police. Because of the crash, the vehicle is suspected of having pronounced damage to the front, Los Angeles Police Department said.
A reward from the city of Los Angeles of about $ 50,000 has been offered for anyone helping to find the culprit in the fatal accident.
The Los Angeles Police Department urged that anyone with information that helps track down the culprit in the murder contact their Valley Traffic Division at 818-644-8022.
