CURRENTLY HIRING:
ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Associate Attorney: Assist senior partners and attorneys in providing legal advisement and representation to clients. Conduct legal research in the areas of personal injury and accident law and prepare opinion letters and legal memorandum for review by senior attorneys. Analyze and interpret statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal sources to determine the probable outcome of cases and develop strategies to provide effective legal representation. Draft legal documents and correspondence including contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements. Conduct depositions, discovery, client meetings, and mediations and make court appearances as required. Assist senior attorneys in preparing for trial including preparing case reports, organizing exhibits, and assisting with witness selection and preparation. Maintain client files and ensure client information is organized, up-to-date, and readily available for review by other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Stay abreast of the latest developments in personal injury law to ensure accurate and effective legal advisement and representation.
Requirements: The position requires a Juris Doctor degree and a license to practice law from the California Bar Association. FILE CLERK / LEGAL ASSISTANT
Busy Los Angeles law firm is looking for a full-time file clerk / legal assistant to work in our litigation department. Experience is not necessary, but applicant MUST be smart, organized and detail oriented. A positive attitude is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Filing and organizing mail and other documents
- Scanning and copying
- Calendaring
- Assisting attorneys and support staff in various tasks
PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION ATTORNEY
Impact:
As our PI Litigation Attorney, you will have the opportunity to fight for our clients and win the largest wrongful death, TBU, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic settlements and verdicts achievable.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage plaintiff’s personal injury practice.
- Develop litigation strategies including discovery, deposition, arbitration, and jury trial.
- Draft internal memos, subpoenas and various discovery documents.
- Direct and determine all aspects of plaintiff litigation and resolution strategy.
- Respond to investigative subpoenas from U.S. government regulatory agencies requesting production of relevant client and third party material.
- Evaluate and analyze employee’s civil complaints and relate investigation documents to prepare litigation and discovery strategy in anticipation of trial.
- Research and communicate current and potential changes and issues with Medicare and Medicaid regulations to company departments.
- Perform research on client-specific questions regarding Medicare regulations, guidance and process.
