Soft Play Sky Wheels Recall Class Action Lawsuit
Soft Play is recalling approximately 3,500 units of their Sky Wheels, which are play components that are part of large indoor play systems. The wheels are comprised of a 4-spoke metal wheel that measures 14 inches in diameter. They are supported from overhang bars in play systems at various recreational facilities for children. The manufacturer is recalling the wheels, as they have a tendency to detach from the overhang bar and cause fall-related injuries to children.
So far, Soft Play has received 15 reports of the wheels detaching, and 3 reports of fall accident injuries, including lacerations to the scalp. Businesses are asked to contact Soft Play for a free inspection so that a repair may be scheduled, if needed. That’s all well and good for the business owner, but what about the child that’s been injured? A product liability lawsuit attorney can help you file a lawsuit for monetary compensation, which we can discuss with you during a free no-obligation case review.

Each component of an indoor play system must be sturdy and structurally sound to ensure that it can withstand all the wear and tear it’s put through on a daily basis. A defective Soft Play Sky Wheel can result in the following injuries:
- Cortes y arañazos profundos
- Huesos rotos
- Bacterial infections, like tetanus and sepsis
- Brain injury and other forms of head trauma
- Ruptura de los órganos internos
- Fracture of the collarbone, knees, elbows, and tailbone
- Dislocación articular
- Lesiones de tejidos blandos
- Daños en la médula espinal
Below are some instructions that we recommend if your child falls off a defective sky wheel and suffers one or more injuries. This will lay the foundation for a strong accident injury case against the product maker:
- Take pictures of visible injuries and the scene of the accident to document evidence of the physical harm sustained by your child.
- Seek medical attention immediately, as your child’s health is the main priority in the moments after an accident.
- Start a collection of evidence, such as medical bills, witness statements, proof of income lost from your job, and anything else that can be used to build a case for monetary damages.
- Contact the manufacturer to report the incident, but say no if they offer to remedy the situation, as you can end up agreeing to something that will invalidate your right to a lawsuit.
- Call us as soon as possible to obtain legal advice from a lawyer with experience in product accident injury cases.
