Brompton Bicycles Recall Class Action Lawsuit
There is a major recall for Samsung Slide-In Electric Ranges due to a problem with the front knobs, which the manufacturer has known about since 2013. The recall involves around 1,120,905 stoves, which were sold between May 2013 through August 2024 at Samsung.com and appliance retailers, like Home Depot, Lowe’s Costco, and Best Buy. Please note that there have been at least 300 reports of accidental activation of the stove due to contact with the front knobs. We know of approximately 250 fires caused by this issue that resulted in extensive property damage, along with 40 reports of serious injuries and 7 incidents of pet deaths.
Consumers are urged to use knob locks or covers if they have children or pets, which you can receive for free by contacting Samsung. In addition, consumers should always check range knobs before going to sleep or leaving the house, and make sure that nothing is left on top of the range. If your stove is Wi-Fi enabled, you can use your Samsung SmartThings app to enable the “Cooktop On” feature, which will notify you through your phone when the stove is turned on.
