H-E-B Leather Woven Chairs Recall Class Action Lawsuit
A recall has been issued by H-E-B on the Haven & Key Leather Woven Chairs, which are also referred to as Lovina Chairs. The legs or backrest of the chairs can crack when someone is sitting down, thereby causing them to fall. There have been 11 reports so far of cracked legs and backrests on these chairs from customers.
The manufacturer is recalling around 1,400 chairs, which were sold at H-E-B stores and online at www.heb.com for around $300. They were sold in brown or black with UPC codes: 4122091920 (brown) and 4122089244 (black). Customers can locate these codes on the chair’s hangtag.
H-E-B is offering a refund on all chairs affected by the recall, which you can obtain by contacting the firm as soon as possible. However, a refund is not good enough if you’ve already been injured by an H-E-B Lovina Chair. In that case, it’s best to contact a product accident injury lawyer, who can fight for the monetary damages you are entitled to. To schedule a free case evaluation, please give us a call at our office.

People tend to underestimate how badly you can be injured when you fall out of a chair, as you are falling from a relatively low height. But there’s no denying that these incidents lead to serious injuries, including the following:
- Broken bones
- Tailbone fracture
- Soft tissue injuries
- Deep cuts and scratches
- Broken facial bones
- Brain injury
- Hip fracture
- Joint dislocation
- Spinal cord and/or neck injury
- Internal bleeding from organ damage
To obtain the compensation you deserve, make sure to take these steps if you or a loved one got hurt from falling off a recalled H-E-B Leather Woven Chair:
- If you have visible injuries, take photos right away so that you have evidence of the harm you suffered. Take photos of the accident scene as well, especially the issue with the product that caused you to fall (broken backrest, for example).
- Go see a doctor, as you must have medical records to file an accident claim against the manufacturer.
- Tell the manufacturer about your accident, but don’t accept any offers to remedy the situation (refund, replacement chair, etc.).
- Collect evidence, like medical bills and time off of work, to support your right to compensation.
- Call a product liability lawsuit attorney, who can advise you of your rights and legal options.
As an injury victim of a recalled product, you may be asking yourself “Can I file a class action lawsuit?” Yes, you can join with other victims who have suffered similar injuries from this chair in order to file a class action claim. Mass torts are another option you can look into, as well as filing a claim on your own (personal injury lawsuit). Our lawyers are here to guide you every step of the way, so don’t hesitate to contact us if a defect with this chair caused you to fall and injure yourself.
