ONME GIKPAL 10 Drawer Dressers Recall Class Action Lawsuit
On March 20, 2025, ONME Direct issued a recall for their GIKPAL 10 Drawer Dressers. According to the recall, number 25-192, the dressers are unstable if not anchored to a wall, resulting in a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can lead to serious injuries or death to children. In addition, the dressers violate performance and labeling requirements. The recall affects over 28,500 units.
The recall includes the 10-drawer dressers with model number HI1318_13. The recalled dressers were available in rustic brown color with black handles, sides, and back. The dresser measures 11.8 inches wide, 38.9 inches long, and 39.4 inches tall. The dresser weighs approximately 36 pounds. The model number is found printed on the product packaging.
The recalled dressers were sold at Walmart.com from September 2023 through January 2025 for about $80 each.
No incidents or injuries have been reported. Still, the company is urging consumers to stop using dressers that are not anchored to a wall and place them in an area inaccessible to children; affected consumers are also urged to contact the company for instructions to follow to receive a refund.
If your child suffered injuries as a result of the recalled dresser, however, you should not accept a refund. Instead, you should seek legal help as soon as possible. You could have the right to file a product liability lawsuit against ONME Direct and Walmart. For more information about the legal options available to you, contact our recall lawyers here at the Downtown L.A. Law Group as soon as possible.
