Cycling Sports Group recalled its Cannondale Canvas NEO Bicycles on December 16th, 2020. 1,270 of the units were recalled. The fender on the front of the bike can detach, leading to the wheel suddenly stopping. A rider may be thrown from the bike if this occurs.
The bicycles have electric assist motors and came in various colors and sizes. The bikes with the defect have the word “Canvas” on the top tube. The bikes were manufactured in Taiwan and imported into Connecticut. They were sold at various Cannondale dealers across the country from June 2019 through October 2020.
