American Honda Motor Off-Road Motorcycles Recall Class Action Lawsuit
On July 3, 2024, American Honda Motor issued a recall for their Model Year 2023-2024 Off-Road Motorcycles. According to the recall, number 24-288, the grip can detach from the handlebar; this poses a crash and injury risk. The recall affects approximately 40,700 units.
The recall specifically involves the 2023 and 2024 model year Honda Off-Road Motorcycles with the three following model numbers: CRF50F, CRF110F, and CRF125F. The CRF125F model was available only in red. The CRF50F and CRF110F were available in both red and white. All models have “HONDA” printed on the seats. The model number can be found printed on the frame of the motorcycle, above the engine. The VIN is located on the left side of the steering head; consumers can input their motorcycle’s VIN online at Honda’s recall webpage to check if their motorcycle is included in the recall.
The recalled off-road motorcycles were available at Honda dealers nationwide from September 2022 through May 2024 for prices ranging between $1,700 and $3,900.
So far, Honda has received one report of a crash associated with the recalled motorcycles, resulting in a knee injury, although it is possible that there have been unreported incidents and injuries. American Honda Motor is urging all affected consumers to stop using the recalled off-road motorcycles and contact them to schedule a free inspection and a free repair.
If you or a member of your family suffered injuries associated with the defective motorcycle, you could have the right to file a lawsuit. You could also be eligible to recover compensation. Instead of agreeing to a free inspection and a free repair, it is important that you seek legal assistance as soon as possible to learn more about the legal options available to you. Based on the details surrounding the incident and the harm suffered, you could have the right to file a lawsuit.

Class action claims and mass torts are very common when it comes to defective products, as countless consumers can be harmed essentially in the same way. In general, participating in a class action lawsuit can be as simple as reaching out to a class action lawyer and opting in. Is there a class action lawsuit on this case already? Since there has only been one reported injury so far and the recall is very recent, it is unlikely that there is already a class action lawsuit. Can I file a class action lawsuit? Yes, your claim could actually be the first to start a class action.
