Today, we want to know what you think is the best law based movie of the past 20 years. Obviously, there are a lot to like, but we narrowed down the choices to: My Cousin Vinny (1992)– A young, brash attorney chooses to defend his cousin and cousin’s friend in a trial for murder in his first case after failing the bar six times. Marisa Tomei won an Oscar. Philadelphia (1993) –Tom Hanks Stars as an AIDS ridden homosexual attorney wrongfully terminated from his law firm. Erin Brockovich (2000)- True life story of a paralegal who sets out to defend innocent victims of illegal dumping of highly toxic materials that caused severe physical damages to innocent citizens. Resulted in one of the largest class action settlements in history. A Few Good Men (1992) – If you like military courtroom drama, and if you can “handle the truth,” you’ll love this one. A Civil Action (1998) – Small town lawyers face off against the big time corporations. This one might give you faith that personal injury lawyers do make a difference. My Personal Favorite: Have to go with My Cousin Vinny, one of the funniest films in movie history. Please let us know what you think, or if you think we left anything out.
