Pedestrian Killed in Street Racing Hit-and-Run in South LA 4-28-13

According to local news reports and investigators at the scene of incident the driver o the vehicle was driving southbound on Compton Avenue at speeds greater than 70 miles per hour. The pedestrian accident took place near the corners of 56th and 57th street and Compton Avenue. The pedestrian killed has been identified by the Los Angeles Police Department as a 55 year old man who happened to be on the roadway at the time of the incident. According to police is remains unclear whether the crossing the street at the time. Possible Link With Street Racing: The incident may have been the result if street racing.
