A special needs student has died as a result of the injuries he sustained form a hit and run accident in South Los Angeles. The tragic criminal act took place Saturday night at 7:00 P.M. According to information given by the family of the deceased victim, 18 year old Miguel Mendez was crossing the street to purchase food at a local Burger King fast food restaurant.
Base on evidence obtain by the Los Angeles Police Department including security video camera posted onto the intersection the vehicle which struck the young individuals was likely a minivan. The driver of the automobile failed to stop after he struck the vehicle. The accident took place on the Broadway Avenue and Century Boulevard. The Burger Kind is situated on the south-west corner of the buys intersection.
