McDonalds Quarter Pounders linked to Deadline E coli Outbreak sue liability incident

McDonald’s Quarter Pounders sold at the fast food restaurants all over the country may have been contaminated with E. Coli, according to a CDC warning. More specifically, the CDC reported that at least 49 people have contracted the bacteria; this includes 1 person who has died and 10 who have been hospitalized. The one fatality has been described as an older person in Colorado.

Most of the cases have been reported in Nebraska and in Colorado, with 9 and 27 cases respectively. In addition to Nebraska and Colorado, there have been cases in Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

It is yet to be determined which ingredient is the one contaminated, leading to the outbreak. However, in some states, McDonald’s has stopped using fresh silvered onions and the quarter pound beef patties during the investigation. Some states have temporarily removed the Quarter Pounder from their menu.

According to the CDC, “McDonald’s is proactively making these changes while investigators work to confirm the contaminated ingredient.” The CDC is also looking into the possibility of any contaminated ingredients being sent out to other restaurants/businesses.
