Around 251,165 Yoto Mini Speakers for children are under recall over incidents of the lithium ion battery overheating. This is a burn and fire hazard, and so far, there have been 9 reports from U.S. consumers of the speakers overheating or melting.<\/p>\n

The speakers \u2013 Yoto Mini, SKU PRPLXX00860 \u2013 were sold in toy and gift stores nationwide, as well as online stores like Amazon, Target.com, yotoplay.com, and maisonette.com. The speakers have a pale gray exterior with orange controls and an LCD display. All units were sold with a charging cable only (no charger or adapter).<\/p>\n

Make sure to take away the speaker from your children and stop using them immediately. Consumers can contact Yoto for a free replacement battery kit and dispose of the lithium ion battery in accordance with local and state ordinances.<\/p>\n

Please note that this product was previously recalled in April 2024 due to the same defect<\/a>. At that time, affected customers were offered a free replacement smart charging cable, but clearly, this has failed to solve the problem. Thus, it\u2019s imperative that you contact the manufacturer for the battery replacement kit, even if you already received the smart cable from the previous recall.<\/p>\n
