On October 27, 2022, there was a recall for the Tesla Cyberquad for Kids by Radio Flyer \u2013 specifically, model number 914. According to the recall, number 23-025, the product does not comply with federal mandatory safety standard requirements for youth ATV. These requirements include maximum tire pressure and mechanical suspension. In addition, the product lacks a CPSC- approved ATV action<\/a> plan which is a requirement to be able to manufacture, import, sell, or distribute these vehicles. The recall affects approximately 5,000 products.<\/p>\n

The recalled ATV has model number 914. It has a full steel frame with a cushioned seat, and it is equipped with adjustable suspension, rear disk braking, and LED light bars. The ATV is powered by a lithium-ion battery with about 15 miles of range. The ATV reaches a top speed of 10 mph.<\/p>\n

The Cyberquad has the Tesla and Radio Flyer logos printed on the battery.<\/p>\n

Although the ATVs were manufactured by Radio Flyer, the ATVs were available exclusively online at shop.tesla.com in December 2021 for a price of $1,900.<\/p>\n

So far, Radio Flyer has received at least one report of an incident in which the ATV tipped over when driven by an 8-year-old child and an adult female, resulting in a shoulder injury in the adult; it is important to note that the ATV is designed to be used only with a single rider.<\/p>\n

The company is urging consumers to stop using the recalled ATVs and contact them for a full refund \u2013<\/a> to obtain a refund, consumers must remove the product\u2019s motor controller and send it to the company.<\/p>\n
