Angie\u2019s List is an online repair contractor forum, where people can go in and ask to see a list of repair companies in their area. These repair companies are often run by a small group of people, or can even be a single person acting as a sole proprietor. The person hired to do the work needs to be qualified to come to the home to competently complete the necessary repairs<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This is an assumption that is made by the homeowner, whereby the homeowner or apartment renter can often see \u201creviews\u201d of other Angie\u2019s List people who have supposedly hired the same person and shared an experience. Once a company or repair person is hired, the person comes out to estimate and later make the required repairs. <\/p>\n

A repair person from Angie\u2019s List may have paid<\/a> for a chance to be on the Angie\u2019s List and have access to regular customers. The Angie\u2019s List team may even perform background checks on the people they allow on their list. Hopefully this step is not missed, and that the Angie\u2019s List crew does do background checks on all people signed up as contractors on their website. <\/p>\nJust Being on Angie\u2019s List Does Not Prevent a Sexual Assault Predator from Coming to Your House<\/span>\n
