HSN recently issued a recall for their JM- and Joy-branded steamers. The affected steamers include the My Little Steamer (full-size) and My Little Steamer Go (compact). The recall (recall # 21-138) affects about 5.4 million<\/a> units of the steamers in the U.S. alone. Both the full-size and compact steamers were available in multiple colors, including red, black, white, purple, and teal.<\/p>\n

According to the recall, the defective steamers can leak, spray, or expel hot water while the product is in use; this poses a risk of injury to consumers.<\/p>\n

The defective products were sold directly through HSN both online and on their tv network. The steamers were also available through other retailers both in-store and online. They were sold for prices ranging from $10 to $50 both individually and as sets. They were available from January 2002 through December 2020.<\/p>\n

There have been at least 227 reports of incidents associated with the defective steamers. Over 100 of these reports included burn injuries to consumers \u2013 6 of which included third-degree urns and 8 of which included second-degree burns.<\/p>\n
