Woman Dies After Being Run Over in Alleged Street Race in West Hills | 03\/21\/2021<\/h1>\n

On the afternoon of Friday, March 19, the Los Angeles fire department reported that two vehicles collided for reasons not yet known, an incident in which a woman of identity not yet released died.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred around 4:00 p.m., in the West Hills neighborhood, in the 24399 block of West Vanowen Street. The accident left a man moderately injured and a woman<\/a> seriously injured, to which she succumbed at the scene.<\/p>\n

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the section of that road has been used by street racers in illegal races, making the place known for people who drive<\/a> at reckless speeds. However, it had been more than a year that such an accident had not been reported<\/a> at the scene.<\/p>\n

The woman was removed from the debris of the accident and received CPR by pedestrians<\/a> circulating near the scene, while they waited for paramedics. Sadly, however, she was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries<\/a> sustained in the accident.<\/p>\n

The other driver involved, a male, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries<\/a> and remains in custody by the authorities.<\/p>\n

LAPD has not released the identity of the woman, also stated that they have security camera footage of the alleged illegal race and are being used to find out the details of the accident.<\/p><\/div>\n
