MW Company Issues Recall for Steering Wheel Adapters<\/h1>\n

On September 5, 2019, MW Company issued a recall (recall number 19-202) for the MOMO Quick Release Steering Wheel Adapters for Race Cars. According to the recall, directly from the Consumer Product Safety Commission<\/a>, “the steering wheel adapter’s quick release can activate inadvertently<\/i> and cause the race car’s steering wheel to suddenly detach from its steeling column while the vehicle is in motion<\/b>, rendering the vehicle impossible to steer and posing a crash hazard and risk of serious injury and death to the driver<\/b>.” In other words, a function that is available for convenience can activate while the car is in motion, posing a significant danger to drivers. Approximately 260 units have been affected by the recall<\/b>. The affected units were sold in all-black and black-and-red colors. The steering wheel adapters have model numbers QRMOMOBKBK and QRMOMOBKRD respectively. The steering wheel adapters were sold from July 2018 to May 2019 for approximately $375.
