In April 2021, the company announced its \u201cUber Rent\u201d program that allowed users to rent cars nationwide from numerous dealers like Hertz and Avis. This was targeted toward people who wanted a car for personal reasons, but the app has an alternative option for car rentals that are used for ridesharing. So, you could still view available cars on Uber\u2019s Vehicle Marketplace and choose a rental offer from a partner company. <\/p>\n

Uber actually had rental car options starting in 2016, where people could rent automobiles through Hertz. For just $5 an hour, it\u2019s a great option for running errands or occasional trips, but you can also rent a Getaround vehicle for Uber rides.
