Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival experiences a tragedy this weekend as one of its employees was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday morning. According to investigators at the scene of the accident Monte Gardner aged 59 from La Verne was struck my another vehicle while riding a motorcycle at the intersection of Avenue 52 and Madison street in La Quinta California at around 8:00 am in the morning. Both drivers were taken to local area hospitals following the collision. Based on local news organization reporting the Indio police responded to the scene of the accident but handed the investigation over to La Quinta police officials shortly after. Local law enforcement closed off the road to traffic until around 5:00 pm that day. According to police the matter is still being investigated.
