2. Age and Bicycle Accident injury:  the average age of bicyclists killed in motor vehicle collisions is around 40, while 30 is the the average age of those injured

3. Bicycle Accident Laws:  California has lead the way in bicycle safety legislation: The first bicycle helmet law was passed in the state in 1986.

4. Many States still have no helmet recommendation laws for bicycle riders.
